Lockstep Communications is led by Melanie Lee Lockhart, M.A., APR, a bilingual corporate communications professional based in Winnipeg, with 15 years' experience in public relations.
A public relations instructor at Red River College, Melanie is the former Director, Corporate Communications of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. ("MTS", TSX: MBT), where she developed, executed and managed strategic communications on issues including the company's initial public offering, labour relations, product and subsidiary launches, crisis situations, brand management, regulatory initiatives, and the acquisition and integration of Allstream. At MTS, she was also responsible for employee communications, media relations, and the production of MTS' award-winning annual reports. An expert project manager, Melanie assembles a nation-wide team of communications professionals from a variety of disciplines, including graphic design, web design, printing, translation, and event planning, as appropriate, to meet clients' individual needs. Lockstep's consultants work on a freelance basis, and are often available to work outside of conventional office hours at no extra cost. Our clients have found this can mean more flexibility for approvals and revisions.
